Let’s talk TIP today. If you’re in the program you know getting our kiddos to eat the challenged food is difficult enough. But sometimes the mess left it’s is wake adds injury to illness. At least in the case of melting chocolate to mix with the nuts. Dez prefers his challenge nuts with melted chocolate every morning. The days that I can beat him and add them to other recipes he’s open to it, but I think he secretly enjoys leaving the melted glue remanence for me to soak and scrub after he’s gone to school so he’s always on my mind. What he doesn’t know is that’s a given, it doesn’t take melted chocolate sticking to everything to do that.

Here comes the solution that only took 999 messes to come up with, but perhaps I can save you the hassle with this. very. simple. solution.  Parchment paper. Yep. You put the 15ish chocolate chips on a small torn piece of parchment paper and melt it for one minute (two 30 second increments if you prefer to stir it up like I do.). You then drop the nuts or desired food on the chocolate provide the spoon and they’re even able to lick the paper  prior to throwing it away.

Considering environmental awareness we waste far less paper than we do water trying to clean out the little dish.

Genius right! Okay, not so much, but I hope this helps you even just a little bit on the journey to food freedom!
